Scientists Finally Finished With His Remains

The family and friends of Herbert Jones are annoyed to have to announce once again that he passed 40 years ago last May, but they were given Herb's remains again after the scientists who had been using them finally said they were done with him.

Herb was low on cash one Christmas in 1967, so he sold his body to science. There was a funeral held, and then his remains were turned over to a medical school, after which the family moved on.

However, on Wednesday of this week, the medical school sent a box to Herb's oldest grandchild with a note stating "Thanks. We're good now." Inside the box were partial skeletal remains, and a few dissected organs that had been preserved. All items were labeled with a serial number.

The family has decided that the only decent thing to do at this point is to bury the remains at their own expense, so they've invited all of Herb's living relatives to come to the Serenity Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday for a brief burial service. As all of Herb's friends are now also passed, the family has invited some of the medical students who used Herb's remains in their schooling to come say a few words about what they learned.
