All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Rebrands Self as House of Pleasures

PUEBLO, CO—A local restaurant known for its all-you-can-eat buffet selections has cast off all semblance of a family restaurant, and fully embraced the image of a hedonistic house of pleasures.

The Golden Corral has a good reputation among local residents as a nice environment for celebrations and to "live a little." Before Sunday of this week, that usually meant just sampling from a wide variety of main dishes, sides, and desserts. "It was always a good place to indulge just a bit," said frequenter Jared Fulsom, 27.

The managers of the restaurant have decided to go all in on meeting every carnal desire of customers in a redesigned restaurant, which opened Sunday morning at 10:00. Now, in addition to its popular buffet choices, the restaurant offers a full bar, and has added a wing dedicated to illicit drug use, and another section that includes staff "to meet your every need."

Although advertised as a "psychedelic experimentation zone," the room seems clearly set up for customers to snort, ingest, and inject virtually any substance known to manipulate the central nervous system. Stocked with bean bag chairs, recliners, dark lighting, and with dozens of drug paraphernalia items scattered throughout the shelves and tables in the area, as well as a needle depository, this purpose of this wing seems clear.

The other section includes a staff of young servers, dressed provocatively, who are encouraged to make physical contact with customers and entice them into one of the multiple dimly lit rooms containing beds, and several marital aids. Although these rooms are advertised as "therapeutic massage" rooms, the restaurant has not responded to our requests for records of the employees' training in massage.

The decorations have also been noticeably altered, as the paintings of landscapes have been replaced with fully nude photos or paintings, and the booth seating has now been converted to red velvet.

The restaurant now prefers to be known as a "buffet of pleasures," and offers several packages. Buffet access remains at $12 for adults, while salad bar-only is at $9. The "Executive Full Experience" is priced at $499.
